Madrid, Spain

Out of all the places I've been to this fall/winter (besides Austria), my time in Spain was the longest and one of my favorites! That might have to do with the fact that it was relatively warm and quite sunny the whole time, as well as that it was Christmas time. I got to spend quality time with my family while also visiting museums, eating amazing food (shoutout to seafood paella), and enjoying the Christmas decorations. You guys will see some of the places I got to visit, but the most notable are the Prado, Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, and El Escorial. It was all nothing short of magical (you already know I'm a sucker for sunshine, art and architecture). Alas, there is never enough time when it comes to family and travel, so I will definitely be back again in the future.
If you've never been to Spain and only have a short amount of time to travel, I recommend seeing Madrid and the surrounding areas, as you will have plenty to do, and it will be easier to get around. Also, I recommend coming during the warmer months because I was lucky with the weather for the majority of the week, but once it got cold, it was cooolllld. Also, I've heard that there are exciting festivals and the running of the bulls during the summer time which are not to be missed!
Now, as you can see, this is a longer post than usual, so I believe it's time for the pictures! If you want any more specific information about Madrid or travel within Spain (as this wasn't my first time here), please reach out to me because I'd love to help!
And just like that, I'm all caught up with my posts from 2017! I am officially back in the US for the foreseeable future, as I have one last semester left at school. I'm looking forward to the projects I've got planned because I can focus on some of my creative aspirations! I hope you all had amazing holidays with your loved ones as well, and I'm excited to see how we all grow!
